We received Sir Frederic Roger's Letter
J. 4 U of the 30th Ult in reference to the reception by the Government of Hong Kong, of the Notes of the Agra of United Service Bank Limited.
and transmitting for the information of the Board of Directors,
a Copy of a Letter from the Lords Commissioners of the Treasury on the subject, and stating that it was your Grace's intention to give instructions to the Government of Hong Kong, and to the Governors of the other Crown Colonies, in conformity with the wishes of the Lords Commissioners which, referring to their Lordships Letter to your Grace appear to be, "that orders should be given to the Governor of Crown Colonies to abstain from authorising the receipt of the Notes of any Bank's except those incorporated by Royal Charter without the previous sanction of Her
